River’s Edge
River’s Edge is a unique restaurant just minutes again from downtown Wisconsin Dells known as the best kept secret in the area. They are known for a large tree in the middle of their bar as well as a 4,000 pound fish aquarium. Having a log accented building I wanted to keep the rustic charm of the restaurant while also adding in element of the river. This is featured in the logo combining and burger with a bar glass while the patty of the burger also resembles a wave.
The menu and packaging utilizes the icon of the burger while also using the tomato red in the color palette as the main color helping it stand out. The menu is where this rustic, charming type shines. I used the type as headers for each section, making them easy to find, while having the supporting text and background simple and easy to read.
The Design
The interior signage uses the log beams as support while highlighting where the bar or “pub” is located. The exterior signage uses the logo attach to a wooden sign to match the rustic feel, while also having the wooden sign match the wooden exterior of the building.
