Reba’s Environmental Design

Reba’s Deli & Pizzeria is located in the heart of the small town La Grange, TX. It’s more than just a local eatery—it’s a flavorful journey that brings the authentic taste of New York to this close-knit community. This vision was born out of a desire to introduce the warmth of brick oven pizza and the charm of rustic design to the Texan landscape.

Where NY Pizza Meets Rustic Charm

The logo is made with a unique type that highlights the feminine name while also making it feel rustic. The color palette resembles the color found in a pizza. The red for the sauce, green peppers, yellow cheese, and dark brown of the crust. The pattern used for signage and graphics is different ingredients you could find on a pizza or sandwich. I wanted it to be objects that can be easily identified if cut. I wanted them to be cut or sliced to resemble how you find ingredients on a pizza.

Reba's marries the vibrant energy of New York with a touch of rustic elegance. The interior exudes warmth, with exposed brick walls, cozy booths, and the comforting hum of a bustling deli. The exterior signage stands as a beacon, proudly announcing the arrival of genuine New York-style pizza to La Grange – a delicious blend of old-world charm and contemporary taste.

The Design

The journey began with a transformative remodel that breathed new life into the space, turning it into a welcoming haven reminiscent of a cozy New York deli. The unmistakable aroma of brick oven-baked pizza now wafts through the air, inviting locals and visitors alike to savor the authentic flavors crafted with passion and precision.

On the bathrooms, a slice of pizza pointing down will be used to represent men’s and a slice pointing up will be women’s. This is reminiscent of the triangle shaped used commonly on bathroom signs.

On the side of the building is a large graphic that reads “Pizza This Way” to direct customers from the parking lot to the entrance. I again used the unique type and connect the letters the create motion in the correct directions.
